Well put together

This is pretty cool, high production quality as well. I like the slow, ominous pace. Mercyles is right, well suited for some kind of viking scenario.

Xarnor responds:

I do try my best with the production. Thanks for noticing!

Great job

This was a great game, and the song's very well put together. I really enjoyed listening to it, but now I think I've gotta go play StarTropics. Awesome - Keep up the good work!

saintedix responds:

Thanks godset. One of the greatest games that never made it into a series.

Very nice

SO MANY SQUARES

As a test, it's impressive use of technology. Cool!

Y2k4never responds:

Thank you, i was going for a C64 "Commodore 64" type feel for this demo, its truly amazing the sounds the NES could make with 2 more square channels and a sawtooth one, i made this in Famitracker so it is authentic and can be played on a Famicom "Japanese Nintendo" although unfortunately because of the NES's lack of sound expansion pins, the American Nintendo can only play the parts of this not aided by the Vrc6 chip, thanks for the review!!! :D

Grabbed me from the start

This one gripped me instantly. The intro sounds very well suited to a game I used to love called Seiklus. Also the dubsteppy transition - I didn't see that coming at all, and it worked so well. I think what would help most here is a little soundstaging, sidechanneling, equalizing, and so forth. It could really help bring all the sounds apart and bring the piece to life. 8/4

Thanks for the feedback man! I gotta remaster this one methinks... only probs was its on school computers and I'm in Summer hols So I just kinda burnt this one and KamiStep off in a hurry cause I wanted to post em during the summer. Ahhh welll, I will probably get this one remastered by Christmas :)

Thanks muchly!

Interesting

At first it sounds as if you don't intend to stick to a particular key or time signature, but it quickly fell into a pattern I could understand while remaining chaotic and relentlessly interesting. My only suggestion would be that the piano loop it falls into might benefit from a change, unless the meaning of the song requires that it doesn't! 9/5

AKACCMIOF responds:

Thanks man! :D I think I may give it a bit of reworking :)

Well composed, only hindered by software

I really enjoyed this piece. Musically, it's very well written, and with some better software the introduction could be brought to its full potential. The slowing tempo at about 1:20 was well accomplished and flowed perfectly into the shifted mood as noted by the key change (if my ears don't decieve me) and the introduction of a violin section. Overall, very well composed. 8/4

AKACCMIOF responds:

Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed, really I think better VSTs could enhance it further, but realistically better software than LP8 is never gonna happen unless I win the lottery :P

Thanks for the review alll the same! Much appreciated :)

All around very nicely done

Incredible - Sounds like a remix of something that should be in a Sonic game. Vocals are very nicely recorded, and the dubstep-ish sounds were incorporated seamlessly. Overdoing that would have been a disaster.

NutronicUK responds:

Originally, before we added vocals, we were majorly influenced by Video Game soundtracks. The only real element left that gives it that Sonic sound is the lead melody by the way it's composed :D

Gotta go play Sonic now

Great song, great version of it! This brings back so many memories. Great job! You should check out my stuff too, highly video game oriented.

KennyChu responds:

thanks dude

Interesting, quite good

This instantly grabbed me. Even though it's short, it's got a strong melody, and the ethnic/synth combo goes a long way. Good job! I'd be interested to here what you think of my stuff.

AKACCMIOF responds:

Thanks! :) I guess I'll give you a browse then :)

My music is a fusion of classical and electronic/techno influences. Its roots are heavily tied in the industrial metal genre. It challenges us to consider our neglected emotions. It aims to question of the nature of what we feel, and the sense of self.
